FULL-DISKfighter is a comprehensive PC maintenance application that will help to free up hard drive space and optimise your PCs performance in several different ways.

The program does an excellent job of highlighting junk files that can be deleted, for instance. It will detect and wipe Windows temporary files, your browser cache and history, deleted emails and other email-related leftovers, media player caches, temporary Office files, and more. And the program will also detect leftover files by their extensions (like TMP, OLD and ERR), helping pick up items that other tools might miss.

You also get a tool to locate and delete duplicate files. A third option highlights large files, such as archives or downloads you might have forgotten about. And the program even includes a very basic defrag tool to optimise your PC when all the leftovers have been removed.

The program does have one or two annoying interface issues. And it's quite aggressive in its default settings, which for instance would wipe everything in the download folder, so you have to check its reports quite carefully. FULL-DISKfighter did help to free up much more space than CCleaner in our tests, though, so if you're looking for a very thorough hard drive clean then it may be worth a try.
