Not to be outdone by the likes of Dropbox, Microsoft’s OneDrive mobile app makes it possible to access the files you have stored online whilst on the move. Not only can you use the app to access the files that you have already uploaded, it can also be used to upload photos and videos directly from your phone for easy sharing with others.
You are not limited to simply uploading files to the root of your cloud storage account; you have the ability to create and delete folders to help keep things organised. In addition to making it possible to access your files from any computer with an internet connection, the iOS app can also be used to share the files you have uploaded with your friends and family via email.
One of the great things about OneDrive is the fact that it is not concerned with file types in the slightest – any type of file can be upload so it is ideal for backing up data quickly and easily. If you are using the app to manage a large number of files, the ability to quickly jump to your recently accessed documents is handy as is the option of viewing files that other people have shared with you.
The OneDrive app features built in support for a number of different file types, and you will find that if you browse through a folder containing images you are able to view them as a slideshow or preview individual files with ease. Being able to choose to share files as read only documents or to make them editable means that the app is great for collaborative work in a group.
