It can be tricky to find a way to share large files with people over the internet. One option would be to split a large file into a number of smaller pieces, but this can be a pain. Share is a free tool from the people behind BitTorrent that makes it easy to share files of any size with anyone online. Raher than having to rely on email attachments, Share enables you to share files using the BitTorrent P2P protocol - and thankfully this is far less complicated than it might sound.
Anyone who has used uTorrent will be aware that the program is wonderfully easy to use, and Share takes a similar approach. Sharing files is a simple matter of signing up for a free account with Share and then selecting which files should be shared. Selecting files can be achieved by browsing through folders, or you can simply drag and drop files onto the app interface.
There are a number of cloud storage services available which advertise themselves as being ideal for file sharing. While there are other services that make it possible to upload files and share links with other people which they can use to download the files, there are almost always limits on file sizes. This is not the case with Share – you are free to share files of any sizes as there are no restrictions on how it may be used.
Share can be used to share files with individual people, or you can configure groups for mass sharing. When files are shared in this way, greater download speeds can be achieved in much the same way as when a particular torrent has a large number of seeds as it means that bandwidth can be shared. When sharing, you can share using email addresses as a point of contact or you can share via Facebook and the ability to add comments makes it possible to communicate information without the need to send separate emails/
Verdict:
A great way to share files which helps to overcome a number of frustrations when it comes to sharing large files.
