Windows Product Keyfinder PRO is a simple tool for uncovering your Windows and Office product keys.

The program can retrieve keys for Windows XP, Vista, 7, Server 2003/ 2008, and Office XP, 2003, 2007 and 2010. Just run it, and the key text can then either be selected and copied to the keyboard, printed, or saved as a text file.

Sounds good, right? But there are problems. The first being that you must install the program before it'll work (something this simple should be portable).

The developers appear to have done this in order to try and persuade you to install browser toolbars and other unwanted extras, though. During our installation process we were asked no less than three times whether we wanted to install some addon or other. You can avoid this, but you need to be careful: don't just keep clicking next, follow every setup step extremely closely to make sure you know exactly what's going to happen.
