VTchromizer is a Chrome add-on which integrates VirusTotal scanning options into the browser, enabling you to check any file or URL for malware with one or two clicks.
If you're unsure about a particular link then you can right-click it and select "Scan with VirusTotal". This immediately runs a regular VirusTotal URL check, displaying a detailed site safety report in just a few seconds.
A normally safe site might occasionally host a dangerous file, of course, but VTchromizer has that covered, too. Right-click the link to any file, select "Scan with VirusTotal", and in a moment you're reading the verdict - without having to download the file first.
VTchromizer also adds a button to Chrome's toolbar. Clicking this produces a pop-up search box where you can run VirusTotal searches on hashes, links, tags and more. There's a link to run a scan on the current site, and if you still have questions, another which takes you straight to the VirusTotal site.
