AppLock+ provides an easy way of restricting access to confidential apps.
In a tap or two you're able to assign PIN codes to individual or groups of apps. You could then hand your phone to a friend and allow them to view pictures or videos, for example, but not access your emails, messaging or social networks.
AppLock+ also works well as a parental control system. You're able to restrict purchases, downloads, system settings changes and more, and remote device management allows viewing all their active apps from anywhere in the world.
While the free app has more than enough power to be useful, a couple of in-app purchases take it even further.
Schedule Lock enables restricting app use by the time of day, maybe blocking Facebook while your kids are at school.
Geo Lock automatically locks apps at a defined location, within the radius you've specified.
What's New
- Pokemon Go Mode
- Bug fixes
Verdict:
If you regularly pass your phone around, Avira AppLock+ will maintain your privacy and security. But if you only need it occasionally, the constant PIN requests could get annoying.
