In order to create a web site you need access to the right tools. Dynamic HTML Editor 1.9 is a free older version of its paid-for sibling, and despite its age and cut down nature, it still has a great deal to offer.
The program can be used to edit HTML as well as style sheets and supports PHP, ASP, JSP, XML and CFM - with the added benefit that page elements can be added with mere mouse drops and the necessary code will be automatically created for you.
Images that are added to pages can be rotated if required and batch file management makes it easy to make site-wide changes without the need to edit a large number of individual files. The program supports events so it can be used to create dynamic pages.
Page elements can be edit using drag and drop or by making use of a properties panel for greater control. The gentle learning curve associated with the program makes it an ideal tool for beginners, and while it lacks many of the features found in more advanced tools, there is more than enough available to create impressive web sites.
Verdict:
The free version of Dynamic HTML Editor is a little limited, but is still worth checking out.
