Taking your DSLR with you on vacation isn't always convenient. The size of the camera attracts attention and people don't like to be in your shots or, worse, try shooting in a public environment and security will quickly ask you to move on or whether you have a permit to shoot.

One solution is to use your iPhone and, frankly, the quality of the shot from anything higher than an iPhone 6 Plus is so fantastic most people wouldn't know it wasn't shot on a bigger DSLR.

But, the iOS camera app, although excellent, could be a lot better. Step up Camera+2, which is a brand new version of the previous Camera+ app and has been completely re-written from the ground up.

The first you'll notice is the manual control you have over your subject, including shutter speed, ISO and white balance which can be altered via wheels and controls in the app. In dual-lens devices such as the iPhone Plus or iPhone X, you can easily select 'wide' or 'tele' shoot options.

Camera+2 will now enable to capture RAW images from your iPhone, which is essential for post-processing work which most photographers like to deploy in Lightroom or Photoshop.

Other highlights include stablizer notification so the app will let you know when your phone is stable enough for a decent shot and a slow shutter mode will enable you to capture long exposures.

Once you are finished shooting, simply move to the Camera+2 Lightbox editor which is a fully-fledge photo manager, with filters, photographic adjustors, RAW photo editing, depth editing and much more.
