It can be annoying to get into bed only to remember that you have forgotten to switch off one of your computers. Providing your have a wireless network set up, Off Remote - Free for iPhone & iPad may be the app you have been looking for.

After installing the Off Remote server software on your PC or Mac, you can then use the app to remotely shutdown, restart, lock, log off or put your computer into sleep mode.

All that is needed is a password to establish a connection to all f the computers on your network and you can then choose the action you would like to perform. The free version of the app is ad-supported and there is a slight delay before each of the remote actions is made available - other than that, the app has no limitations.

It would have been nice if a Wake On LAN feature had been built into the app to allow users to remotely switch on their computers, but the shutdown facility in itself makes it worthy of installation.
