Searching the internet, particularly when typing on the iPhone's relatively small keyboard, can be a chore. Dragon Search aims to make things a little easier by firstly enabling you to instigate searches using your voice, and secondly by allowing searches of multiple sites to be performed simultaneously.
Performing a search is a simple matter of firing up the app, tapping the Record button and speaking your search term. Voice recognition is fast and accurate, but should you find that any words have been incorrectly interpreted, alternative suggestions can be easily selected.
Dragon Search can be used to search Yahoo, Google, YouTube, Twitter, iTunes and Wikipedia. Each of these searches is performed simultaneously as standard, and a unique carousel bar makes it possible to choose which results you would like to see.
The app will be a curiosity to many people, but it does its job very well. Anyone who has problems using the on screen keyboard will welcome the alternative means of inputting search terms. This is certainly an app to try out.
Verdict:
Surprisingly fast and accurate, Dragon Search is not only useful but also innovative.
