Google Reader provides an easy way to manage all of your RSS feeds online ad make them available on any computer. While the online interface is highly useable, it is not the same as using a standard application.
Gruml is a Google Reader client that can be use to manage your Google Reader feeds on your Mac in a dedicated application. Feeds ca be organised into folders and tags can be added - but most importantly of all, synchronisation means that any changes you make can be seen both online and on other computers.
As Gruml can be configured to be your default RSS reader, new feeds you find online can be easily added to the program. A menu bar icon provides easy access to new unread feeds.
In addition to all of these features and options, feed posts can be shared with others from Gruml by tweeting them from within the application or creating a blog post. Articles can also be posted to a number of social networks including Digg, Facebook and ReadItLater.
Verdict:
A great alternative to use the Google Reader web site, and a versatile RSS reader in its own right.
