SmartPower is an intelligent Windows service that will save energy - and money - by hibernating and resuming your PC according to the rules you specify.

You can set up schedules to define when your PC absolutely must be on. And as long as your hardware supports it (which almost all modern PCs will), your system will turn itself on at the defined time, ready to start work.

Outside of these schedules, SmartPower will try to close your PC down to save electricity. But this doesn't have to get in your way.

The program can monitor your network traffic, for instance - if you've left your system downloading something overnight, then SmartPower won't shut it down until you've finished.

Or maybe you have two or three PCs in your own home network? SmartPower can keep your PC awake as long as they're around, so they'll still be able to access network resources on your PC.

And there are several other rules you can apply to tune the program for your needs. SmartPower can force your PC to remain awake if a particular process is running, for instance; if another program is requesting display or system power; if other network devices are on, and more. It's all very flexible.
