Chatterbucks is an app that will cause great entertainment at the bar at it enables you to make your money talk. Although the app appears simple to start with, it uses advanced augmented reality techniques to create an effect that I sure to get your friends talking.

All you need to do is to point the camera of your iPhone at a bank note - currently, $5 bills and £5 and £10 notes can be recognised - and Chatterbucks will automatically recognise the money. This in itself is impressive, but the app takes things a step further.

Having recognised your bank note, Chatterbucks will than animate the portrait on your note, bringing it to life as it talks. There are a number of built in phrases that have been pre-configured, but you are free to add more of your own.

There may have been complaints about the number of fart apps that have made their way into the app store, and Chatterbucks could easily be lumped in the same category - but ultimately, this is just a bit of good, clean fun that you can enjoy completely free of charge.
