Stereoscopic Player is a powerful media player that allows you to view many types of 3D videos, and even 3D DVDs (with a little extra work).
The lengthy list of supported formats includes AVI, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MP4, WMV, ASF, MOV, MXF, MKV, and FLV. The program can open 3D Blu-ray files (SSIF), Windows Media Dual Stream files, separate left/ right files, and digital photos (MPO, JPG, JPS, TIF, GIF, PNG, and BMP). And because it's based on DirectShow, Stereoscopic Player should also be able to handle any formats supported by third-party DirectShow decoders that you might have installed.
The program also supports plenty of stereo layouts: Monoscopic, Interlaced, Side by Side, Over/Under and more.
And the results can be viewed via NVIDIAs stereo driver, on a 3D-enabled DLP-TV, on many other side by side, over/under, row or column interlaced 3D displays, or (if you've nothing else) with a basic pair of cardboard glasses.
While Stereoscopic Player can also play 3D DVDs, you may need to add a decoder to make this work. If you have problems with this feature, check the 3D-DVD Playback page on the Stereoscopic Player site for more information.
Please note, the Stereoscopic Player is available in multiple editions. The unregistered version limits playback to five minutes only; the Private edition (39 Euros) plays the full duration of the movie, but is for personal use only; the Commercial edition (89 Euros) allows commercial use for a maximum audience of 5 people, while the Cinema licence is priced according to the maximum size of the audience.
