UBitMenu is a Microsoft Office add-in that provides access to the classic menus and toolbars in Word, Excel and PowerPoint (both 2007 and 2010 editions).
This doesn't mean the program will try to remove the ribbon, which remains accessible after you've installed it. Rather, it adds a new ribbon tab called "Menu" with all the familiar menus, toolbars, draw options and more, which work as they always did.
Of course if you don't like the ribbon then you can simply leave the Menu tab selected, and choose the options you need from the menus and controls on offer.
But UBitMenu is also useful for providing the occasional shortcut. If you can't find the function you need on the ribbon, say, but know where to locate it via the classic interface, then just click the Menu tab and access whatever you want: easy.
Please note, UBitMenu is free for personal use only. If you'd like to use the program in a business then you'll need to purchase a licence; prices start at 10 Euros. There's also a separate UBitMenu for Outlook 2010 add-in available for the same price, as well as multiple versions in other languages, and you can find out more on the author's site.
Verdict:
If you hate the ribbon (or just still get lost occasionally) then UBitMenu provides an easy way to restore the classic Office interface
