Most graphics applications provide tools that work on individual images: cropping, colour tweaks, special effects and more. MobaPhoto takes a different approach, by providing four batch tools that each take multiple images and then performs some useful function on them all.

The most powerful function is probably the digital gallery creator, which takes only seconds to build an attractive HTML-based thumbnail gallery of all your favourite photos. It can then directly upload them to your website, or just save them to a folder on your hard drive. If you don't have a website then you copy that folder to a CD, then give it to friends or family.

A batch renaming tool makes it easy to rename large groups of images. You can let the program do this automatically, based on details like folder and file name, or you apply various manual tweaks, for example replacing one word within the file name with another. If your photos still need work then the batch edit tool will help to crop or rotate them, tweak colours, brightness or contrast, even fix red-eye.

This isn't fully automated - you select a group of images, then they're presented to you one by one for editing - but it may still be useful. And the final tool on offer is the batch file resizer: choose your images and it'll immediately resize them all to the dimensions you specify. This can be helpful if you're preparing shots for a slideshow or presentation, say, and it's certainly quicker than resizing them manually.
