When you take a great digital photo then you'll want to share it with friends and family - but this isn't always easy. Especially if they're high resolution shots, and several megabytes in size, probably too large to send by email. And so you'll have to go through the hassle of opening your graphics editor, loading the original images, resizing them to something more reasonable, saving the smaller copies, attaching them to an email, and deleting the resized images when you're done. None of this is difficult, but it's tedious, and a waste of your time - so why not get Shrink Pic to do it automatically, instead?

The program runs in the background, just waiting for you to send an image. And when it detects one being transmitted, via most regular email clients (Outlook, Thunderbird, Outlook Express), webmail (Hotmail, Gmail, more), instant messaging tools (Windows Messenger, Skype), even being uploaded to a blog, it steps in and creates a temporary resized copy for you, sends this instead, then deletes the copy when it's done (the original remains untouched, of course).

You don't have to do anything, the program just works immediately. But if you'd like more control, then double-clicking the Shrink Pic system tray icon lets you choose the level of compression that you'd like, as well as the image formats you'd like Shrink Pic to process (it can resize JPG, BMP, PNG, TIF and even GIF files).
