History Monitor is a tiny portable tool which gives you complete control over your Internet Explorer browsing history.
You could use the program simply to view your history, for instance: it displays a table showing the title, URL, and Last Visited date for every page you've viewed recently.
A "Report" option enables you to save all these details to an HTML file, which may be useful if you want to analyse someone else's browsing history at a later date.
If you discover a page which you'd like to revisit later then the ability to add that URL to your Favourites is just a right-click option away.
And if you'd like to maintain your own browsing privacy, but without deleting your entire history, then History Monitor makes it easy to selectively remove particular URLs: just right-click a page and choose Delete.
There's also a Clean Up option which in theory enables you to delete History entries containing particular items of text, but that didn't work for us, maybe because History Monitor is rather old (it's not been updated since 2006). The other functions appear to work just fine, though, so if you'd like to gain more control over your IE history then the program may still be worth a look.
Verdict:
An easy-to-use way to view and manage your IE browsing history
