Sea Battle is a small and free version of the popular game, Battleships.
The game can automatically set up your own ships at a click, and then, after choosing a skill level (there are Easy, Normal, Hard or Impossible options) you're off, alternately clicking on your opponents grid while watching nervously as he drops bombs on yours.
And if you're familiar with the game then you'll know that, essentially, that's about it. You just carry on dropping your bombs, judging their position carefully to maximise the chance that you'll hit something, until your opponent's navy is where it belongs: at the bottom of the ocean.
There's not exactly a great deal to the gameplay, then. Even the old Windows Minesweeper game required a little more thought and logical deduction in deciding where to move next. And the graphics aren't exactly hi-res, either.
Still, if you're looking for an entertaining way to pass a few minutes, especially for kids, then Sea Battle could be worth a try.
Verdict:
This basic "Battleships" variant may keep the kids entertained for a few minutes
