Christmas is in trouble, but you may be able to help. Cave monsters and other baddies are on a mission to steal all of Santa’s present which is going to lead to a lot of disappointment on Christmas morning. But if you successfully captain your team of elves you should be able to thwart the attack in this festive twist on the classic tower defense genre.
The game is available completely free of charge and features suitably festive graphics to accompany the fast-paced gameplay. Christmas Troubles is not a game that is demanding of your hardware so even if you have an older machine you can take part in the battle to save the presents in time for Christmas day.
There is a total of thirteen towers for you to defend from four different kinds of monster. Each have their own special characteristics so you will be able to learn how best to attack them. Whether you decide to play tactically or just for a blast, there’s plenty of fun to be had here, all accompanied by cheery Christmas music and gorgeous cartoony graphics.
Take care during the installation of the game as the setup routine will also attempt to install the Ask toolbar and to change your home page – this can be avoided by simply selecting the Custom Installation option and unticking the two option boxes.
Verdict:
A festive twist on a classic game which is well worth checking out.
