Adguard is a commercial ad and pop-up blocker which works at the network level, which means it supports all browsers.
The program works automatically, for the most part. Once it's installed there's no great need to do anything more: just surf the web as normal and most ads disappear.
Adguard also blocks access to some malware and phishing sites. There's no real-time analysis (it's using several blacklists) so it'll only work with some known dangerous sites, but this is still a plus for the program.
Opting for a Premium License ($24.95 instead of $19.95) also gets you a Parental Control module with a number of useful features. You're able to enforce Safe Search, block the download of executable files, limit site access by category, and maintain your own custom website blacklists and whitelists.
Verdict:
Adguard is easy to use and configurable, but high resource use and a chunky subscription fee mean you're better off trying free ad blockers first
