Struggling to get in shape on your own? Bored of the same old run? There are many reasons that you aren't seeing improvements or reluctant to join a gym, but there are alternatives for you to get in shape with the help of your smartphone.
One of these apps is called Sworkit. Sworkit is aimed at taking the excuses out of your life so you really can get your workout in wherever and whenever, cost and time is not a factor, and thus you will be able to stay on track. Sworkit was rated number one in a recent study by the American College of Sports Medicine in terms of safety, stretching, progression and more. They know what they’re doing at Sworkit.
To get you started, Sworkit put you on a 6-week program, and you can choose whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced user. You can also select what type of program you want to be on whether it be Leaner, Fitter or Stronger depending on your goals. Sworkit gives a huge database of bodyweight exercises and also provide you with the ability to make your own custom workout. Sworkit also provides options for working with health and wellness coaches. You can also sync your workouts to apps like MyFitnessPal and the Apple Health app to further track your calories burnt.
There is also a premium paid for version of the app. With the premium version, you can find additional workouts and also guides which take it to the next level and you can set your own custom exercise intervals so you can do H.I.I.T and Tabata exercises, an unlimited number of custom workouts, message real personal trainers for advice in case you need it. Finally, you get access to the Web App and also there are no more ads. However, this costs $29.99/quarter or $59.99/year.
Sworkit really provides a lot of information and is highly rated in terms of safety which is important as you get novices from staring at their social media to starting at workout guides.
Verdict:
The app is a good option to get fit, we are just not sure whether it justifies the expense for the premium edition compared to other apps.
