Veetle is a live video application that makes it easy to watch the many free TV channels on veetle.com.
The player works within your browser, so it's generally very simple to use. Just install the program, go to www.veetle.com, click on a channel - these cover movies, music, TV, sports and more - and you should be able to view it immediately.
Or maybe you want to create your own TV channel? That's possible, too. A straightforward browser-based interface lets you choose exactly what you want to broadcast: a file, DVD, the stream from your TV tuner card, or even your webcam.
By default your channel will be listed on the Veetle site, and so the whole world will have access. But if you'd like a little more control, choose the Private option, and you'll be able to create a custom channel that only your friends and family can view.
Veetle has a few bugs, and may not work for everyone. Broadcast quality will also be limited by the upload speed of your internet connection - don't expect HD pictures. The service is free for everyone, though, so it's hard to complain too much, and if you have any interest in internet TV then Veetle is definitely worth a look.
Verdict:
An interesting internet TV player that makes it easy to broadcast your own channel
