The Windows 10 Anniversary Update starts its official rollout today, bringing a host of major new features to the masses– including extension support for Microsoft Edge.
Sure, there’s not a lot to choose from just yet, but installing the beta of Adblock Plus for Microsoft Edge is a good way to start.
That’s “good” in a relative sense, because the release is still a beta, not as reliable or powerful as the Chrome edition, and is currently getting some very mixed reviews.
The developer explains:
“Adblock Plus for Microsoft Edge is still in early development stages and has known issues and limitations. While ads will be blocked of course, it is possible to experience undesired side effects on some websites and the number of filter subscriptions is limited. Microsoft and Adblock Plus are continuing to make improvements which you’ll see through automatic updates.”
Adblock Plus for Microsoft Edge is available now for the Windows 10 Anniversary update.
