EASEUS has released a public beta of its Todo Backup 3.0 software. Version 3.0 adds a number of major new features to this versatile backup application, which is capable of backing up and cloning entire disks and partitions as well as offering file-based backup tools.
EASEUS Todo Backup 3.0 Beta adds support for dynamic disks while improving compatibility with SSD drives, and adds one-click options for system backup and restore as well as migrating a drive image to new hardware.
Version 3.0 adds support for backing up and restoring MS Exchange and SQL Servers (SQL functionality will be restricted to the paid-for full version only). It is also now capable of backing up to tapes and tape libraries.
EASESUS has also introduced single-click system backup and recovery to this release, along with a similar one-click option for restoring a backup to dissimilar hardware (allowing you to migrate to a new computer).
A new differential option has been added to disk, partition and file backups, and ToDo Backup 3.0 also supports dynamic disks for the first time, making it possible to both clone and back up dynamic volumes that span multiple disks. In addition to this, version 3.0 promises better compatibility with Solid State Disks.
One final new option is the ability to automatically shut down your PC after a backup, recovery or cloning task has completed, allowing you to leave the computer to its own devices.
Version 3.0 also promises to fix a number of issues, improving compatibility with both the WinPE and Linux bootable disks as well as the PreOS Startup option.
EASEUS Todo Backup 3.0 Beta is available as a free download for testing purposes only, and works with PCs with 1GB RAM and 500MB free hard drive space running Windows 2000 or later. The beta is set to run until August 11, ahead of the anticipated final release.
