AVG Technologies today announced the release of their AVG 2011 range.
Major enhancements include new Smart Scanning technology, that AVG say results in scans that are three times faster than previous versions.
New Protective Cloud Technology uses behavioural analysis and multiple scanning engines to improve accuracy, even when faced with brand new threats.
Social Networking Protection carries out safety checks on the links exchanged within Facebook and MySpace messages, in real time.
And perhaps the best news of all is that these core technologies are now available in all AVG’s consumer antimalware products: AVG Anti-Virus 2011 Free, AVG Anti-Virus 2011, and AVG Internet Security 2011.
If you’re willing to pay for protection, though, opting for AVG Anti-Virus 2011 will add online shields to check files before you download them, and monitor the security of your instant messaging conversations. You’ll also get priority updates and technical support.
And AVG Internet Security 2011 has all the features of Anti-Virus, adding an enhanced firewall, and a highly configurable spam filter.
We’ll have an extensive review of AVG Internet Security 2011 online shortly.
